Democracy Now!
Three-and-a-half months after NSA leaker Edward Snowden brought the U.S. government’s massive spying operations to the public, “Democracy Now!” spends an hour Monday with Alan Rusbridger, editor-in-chief of The Guardian, the British newspaper that first reported the leaked documents.
The Guardian continues to publish a series of exposés based on Snowden’s secret files, filling in some of the details on how the NSA has collected telephone and Internet records in bulk. Among other things, Rusbridger talks about how the paper has been targeted as a consequence of the debate its work has sparked.
Read a transcript of Rusbridger’s appearance here.
