General Prosecutor’s office summoned the President of Petro Poroshenko as a witness in the case of “crimes against participants of protest actions on the Maidan” in Kiev in January-February 2014, according to “Ukrainian news”.
According to the edition “Ukrainian truth”, on interrogation have caused Poroshenko and mayor of Kiev Vitali Klitschko. The questioning will take place in August. In addition, according to sources, the interrogation is also called the ex-Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk and current Secretary of the NSDC Oleksandr Turchynov.
Press Secretary Poroshenko Svyatoslav Tsigalko said that the President will arrive to the investigators to testify after the official call on interrogation the summons.
The Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko told reporters that current and former senior officials of Ukraine often go in for questioning “maydanovsky”. He noted that the leader of Radical party Oleg Lyashko nervous about interviews.
