Dear friends,
The story below is about Salah Lamrani, a member of the French Saker Blog team and a longtime friend of our community.  If you make a quick search of his name you will see that Salah has made many excellent contributions to the original Saker Blog too.  For all these reasons, Salah is most definitely one of us, a member of our Saker community.
PressTV writes: France has been repeatedly accused of repressing political speech since Charlie Hebdo attacks more than a year ago. There have been hundreds of people victimized by mere accusations, and one such victim is a schoolteacher who is now fighting for his job and his dignity. Press TV’s Ramin Mazaheri brings us the story from Paris.

Here is, also, an English language (with intro in Arabic) video explaining his ordeal in Egypt:

I urge you all to take action to defend our friend and to sign the following petition:

For the immediate reinstatement of Salah Lamrani to his teaching post

Petition to
Ms. Najat Vallaud-Belkacem, French Minister of Education
Ms. Béatrice Gille, Rector of the Academy of Créteil

Mr. Salah Lamrani, French professor of the Romain-Rolland School of Tremblay-en-France (93290), very appreciated by his students and their parents, was arbitrarily suspended from his post on February 11th, 2016, by Isabelle Chazal, HR of the Academy of Créteil, for a period of four months.

This unilateral action was taken following slanderous letters from the
FCPE (Federation of parents' councils) and the management of his establishment seriously defaming him and making illegal use of his activities as a blogger.

We ask you to take quick action to lift this unjustified suspension, to call to order the management of the school and allow students to be reunited with their teacher who they sorely miss, so that the school community can regain the serenity necessary for success of its mission.
Editors note: you can review the whole case, with all its lurid details on Salah Lamrani's blog, updated daily, Sayed Hasan
